Leadership 2019-2020
WW-P South Model United Nations
Model United Nations (MUN) is one of the largest and most reputable clubs at WW-P High School South. A highly selective and competitive club, SouthMUN attends multiple conferences hosted by prestigious national universities every year. The club upholds a strong tradition of success and has attained considerable renown amongst fellow competitors in the north east.
SouthMUN is well known for its tradition of club camaraderie and close-knit friendships. The club is bound together as a family, and our competitions, events, and get-togethers are considered by our members as some of their best high school experiences. South MUNers are often the most intelligent, hard-working, and successful students at High School South, and their talents often extend into all aspects of the classroom. Alumni of SouthMUN attend highly selective universities, and several alumni have gone on to pursue successful careers in international relations.
If you are a student interested in getting involved in SouthMUN, we advise you to take the initiative and contact one of the officers (See the “Contacting” page). The club holds several meetings throughout the year, including an Information Session meeting in September. Students may join the club anytime throughout the year, and all students at South are welcome to attend the information sessions. Please note that while all students are welcome to join SouthMUN, participation in conferences is highly selective and are performance-based. As a result, the club is competitive in nature, but the students that succeed are guaranteed to reap the benefits.
